When you plan to start your journey to Makkah, you need to make yourself aware of all the different Surahs and Duas that will help you complete your pilgrimage. There are many Duas that are mandatory to recite, while others are done as Sunnah; but it is equally important to be knowledgeable about them. Below are some of the Surahs that you will need to recite on your journey with their translations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the start of your journey for Umrah, you will start by putting on your Ihram, and then do your Niyyah to perform Umrah. After doing your Niyyah, you say the following:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Talbiyah:<\/span><\/h4>\n

Labbayka ll\u0101humma labbayk(a), labbayka l\u0101 shar\u012bka laka labbayk(a), inna l-\u1e25amda wa n-ni\u2019mata, laka wa l-mulk(a), l\u0101 shar\u012bka lak.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

At Your service, Allah, at Your service. At Your service, You have no partner, at Your service. Truly all praise, favour and sovereignty is Yours. You have no partner.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entering Makkah<\/span><\/h4>\n

All\u0101humma h\u0101dh\u0101 \u1e25aramuka wa amnuka fa \u1e25arrimn\u012b \u2018ala-n-N\u0101r, wa amminn\u012b min \u2018adh\u0101bika yawma tab\u2019athu \u2018ib\u0101dak, wa j\u2018aln\u012b min awliy\u0101\u2019ika wa ahli \u1e6d\u0101\u2019atik.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

Allah, this is Your sanctuary and security, so make me unlawful to Hell-Fire, make me safe from Your punishment on the day You resurrect Your servants; and make me one of Your friends and one of the people who obey You.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entering Masjid al-Haram<\/span><\/h4>\n

Bismi-ll\u0101h, All\u0101humma \u1e63alli al\u0101 Muhammad. All\u0101humma-ghfir l\u012b wa-fta\u1e25 l\u012b abw\u0101ba ra\u1e25matik.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad (PBUH). O Allah, open for me the doors of Your Bounty.<\/span><\/p>\n

First Sight of Kaaba\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

All\u0101hu akbar. All\u0101hu akbar. L\u0101 il\u0101ha illa-ll\u0101h.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. There is no God except Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Intention Before Doing Tawaaf<\/span><\/h4>\n

All\u0101humma inn\u012b ur\u012bdu l-\u1e6dawwafa baytika l-\u1e25ar\u0101mi fa yassirhu l\u012b wa taqabbalhu minn\u012b.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

O Allah, I intend to perform Tawaf of the Sacred Mosque, so accept it from me and make it easy for me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before Starting Sa\u2019i<\/span><\/h4>\n

Inna \u1e63-\u1e63af\u0101 wa l-marwata min sha\u2019\u0101\u2019iri ll\u0101h(i).<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

Indeed, Safa and Marwa are from the Signs of Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then Say<\/span><\/h4>\n

Abda\u2019u bim\u0101 bad\u2019allahu bihi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/b><\/p>\n

I begin with that which Allah has begun with.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leaving the Haram<\/span><\/h4>\n

Bismi ll\u0101hi, wa \u1e63-\u1e63al\u0101tu wa s-sal\u0101mu \u2018ala ras\u016bli ll\u0101h. All\u0101humma inn\u012b as\u2019aluka min fa\u1e0dlik.<\/span><\/p>\n

Translation:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask of you from Your bounty.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many other Surahs that are recited during your journey, with these being some of the main ones. There are also plenty of actions that go along with these recitations in order to complete the pilgrimage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
